My Velorbis on the Lakefront Trail (by Dottie B.)
Anonymous: so, I had this red lump on my vagina and it started to hurt and I squeezed it and blood came out- like heaps of blood. That was months ago and it's still there and like over time I have gotten this purple bigger spot, (not in the same area like above my pubic hair, below my pantie line) it doesn't hurt but when you push on it it feels like there something in there like I lump or something idk, what's up?

hmmm from your description, it sounds like it might an ingrown hair. I’m a little confused, did the lump turn into the bigger purple spot or are they different? If it is an ingrown hair I suggest before trying to remove it, going to your GP to confirm it actually is that and not something severely worse such as an STI or STD. It could also be a cyst, which has to be removed by a doctor or if you’re brave enough yourself.

To remove, if hair however is to simply disinfect the area, get a sewing/embroidery needle or tweezers and try to pull it out.

There shouldn’t be that much blood. Also keep me updated, thanks for your message

Anonymous: my vagina has been really itchy and i've been finding like dandruff and black dots on my pubic hair. help!

hmmmm it seems you may have crabs (pubic louse). They aren’t really a health hazard but are caught from sexual partners. I’d recommend shaving your vagina and going to the doctor to get the topical cream. Don’t forget they can spread so it’s important to do your anus vagina and perineum (look that one up).

Anonymous: at the base of my penis head there are like little bumps that are sometimes white and i'm really worried about them and too embarrassed to go to a doctor. I'm also worried girls won't do shit with me because of them

Ok, these are called pearly penile papules. They are nothing to worry about because they aren’t caused by a STI or STD and don’t do anything significant. Unfortunately they are hard to remove and require a laser which sometimes doesn’t work and isn’t permanent. In terms of the girl issue my advice to you is: after explaining that they aren’t anything bad to her, if she’s still hesitant, you could give it some time or you could end it. I think however there are things you can do to work through it. But come on in reality she should be mature enough to do the research on her own to prove that they’re quite normal.
